How three route types work

Route names describe how data is organized between the local entry point and the international exit. Prices, stability and use cases vary, so do not choose based on city name alone.

RELAY Route optimization

Relay

A relay route first sends the connection to an intermediate entry point with more suitable location and network conditions, then connects to the target region from there. By splitting the cross-border path, it can avoid some public-network segments that are prone to congestion or frequent changes. Relay does not necessarily mean passing through more unrelated nodes; the key is whether the intermediate entry point improves the latter part of the route.

Relay routes suit everyday browsing, content streaming, software downloads, developer documentation and routine collaboration. They often balance coverage, cost and stability, and usually offer a wider choice of cities. When the destination is clear, choose a relay entry point in the same or a nearby region as the target service.

A relay connection consists of multiple segments, and a routing change in any one of them can affect the overall experience. If pages open normally but media repeatedly stalls, do not keep reconnecting to the same city; compare another route type in the same region instead.

DIRECT Public-network direct

Direct

A direct route connects the current network straight to the international exit without adding a dedicated relay entry point. Its structure is simpler and suits destinations where the local network already has a smooth route. It also makes it easier to determine whether an issue comes from the local network, the cross-border path or the target website.

For everyday web access, text messaging, document searches and temporary region changes, start with a nearby direct entry point. If the connection is stable and the target service identifies the region correctly, there is no need to keep switching just because another route has a different label. A usable, sustainable entry point is more valuable than a complicated route name.

Direct routes are more exposed to changes in local carrier networks and international public-network routing. If the same entry point performs very differently at different times, switch to a relay or IEPL route in the same region instead of moving straight to a more distant country. This makes it easier to keep the account region and content region consistent.

Cost and use cases

Route cost does not directly determine suitability

Dedicated routes focus on predictable paths, relays on coverage and route optimization, and direct routes on simplicity. A higher-cost route is not suitable for every destination, and the closest entry point may not meet a platform's regional requirements. Judge the use case first, then choose the region and route type; this is usually more effective than sorting by name alone.

Choose servers by use case

Choosing a route comes down to three questions: Where is the target service located? Does the task require a long-lived connection? Must the account region remain consistent? The recommendations below are based on practical use.

WEB

Everyday browsing

For international websites, research, messaging or document reading, start with a nearby Asian entry point. Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong are often good starting points because shorter paths make it easier to keep page images, scripts and API requests consistent.

If the website clearly serves a specific region, such as European content or a North American account entry point, choose that region instead. Opening the page is only the first step; also verify that sign-in, search, downloads and in-page navigation continue to work. Judging a route only by whether the homepage appears can miss later requests governed by different regional rules.

MEDIA

Streaming

For streaming, start with the content licensing region rather than entry-point distance alone. The account region, billing region, content-library region and current exit should match as closely as possible. If the platform opens but the target program is unavailable, check regional alignment instead of repeatedly reloading the page.

After choosing an entry point marked as streaming-supported in the table, close any active playback page, establish a new connection and reopen the platform. If content from the old region still appears, clear the current session and sign in again. Frequent switching between distant regions may prompt the platform to reassess the account environment, so keep one stable region for regular viewing.

AI

AI Tools

Browser-based AI tools maintain ongoing API requests, and long answers, file uploads and chat-history sync all depend on connection continuity. Start with a common service region such as Singapore, Japan or the United States, then check whether sign-in, prompt submission and result delivery all complete successfully. Opening the homepage alone does not confirm that later tasks will work.

For developer APIs, keep the exit region stable as well. Repeatedly switching countries during debugging can make access logs, developer consoles and project environments inconsistent. Once you identify a workable region, stay with an entry point there; when troubleshooting, change the route type within the same region before changing countries.

PLAY

Gaming

For gaming, first confirm the server region. Use an Asian entry point for Asian servers, and the corresponding region for North American or European servers. Login, matchmaking and actual game servers may be located in different places, so reaching the account page does not mean the matchmaking route is suitable.

After the connection is established, avoid switching entry points during a match or ongoing session. If updates download normally but login is unstable, test direct and relay routes separately. Direct routes are simpler, while relays may improve some cross-border segments; the better option depends on the specific route from your local network to the game region.

WORK

Remote work

Video meetings, remote desktops, online documents and code repositories place greater importance on connection continuity. Keep a fixed entry point during work and avoid switching regions mid-meeting, which can trigger another sign-in. If a team system restricts access by region, follow the organization's requirements rather than simply choosing the closest location.

For long meetings or remote control, try an IEPL route first; for routine web collaboration and file viewing, start with a relay. If screen sharing works but file sync stalls, check the target service region and current route type separately. Testing tasks one at a time makes issues easier to locate than opening every tool at once.

  1. Confirm the target region first

    Identify where the website, content library, work system or game server is mainly located. If the account already has a fixed region, prioritize that environment instead of judging only by local distance.

  2. Then choose the entry type

    For ongoing meetings and long tasks, consider routes with more predictable paths; for ordinary browsing, start with a relay or direct route. Comparing types within the same region is more informative than switching across regions.

  3. Validate the complete task flow

    Start with sign-in, then test page navigation, content loading, file handling or session persistence. Testing only the homepage cannot cover the APIs and regional checks involved in actual use.

  4. Keep a stable entry point

    Once you find an entry point that fits the use case, keep it as your regular route. When you need to switch, try another entry point in the same region first and keep the account, content and exit regions aligned where possible.

Account and registration

VPNUD does not require an email address; you can register with a username and password. After registration, open the user panel to choose a plan and access client and subscription information. Keep your login credentials secure so a forgotten username does not affect future access.

Device connections

This service supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux and allows unlimited devices. Different devices can use different regions for their respective needs, but when the same account environment is subject to regional checks, keeping the exit region consistent is recommended.

BILLING

Plans and payment

Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date, and mid-cycle upgrades are prorated by the remaining days. Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported.

TRAFFIC

Data packages

Data packages remain available until used and never expire: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They suit users with irregular usage who do not want monthly data resets.

REFUND

Refund policy

All plans include a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. After getting started, test connections on your usual devices, target regions and main applications before deciding which entry points to keep long term.

Client access

Clients and subscription information are provided through the user panel. After signing in, open the download area for your current device and follow the panel instructions to import the configuration. Marketing pages do not provide standalone installers or subscription URLs.
